| Profile of Campers: | Campers are child survivors of sexual abuse from Northern Nevada and California. These survivors are in the healing stages from the effects of sexual abuse and come from all backgrounds, ethnic groups, and religious beliefs. Isolated by the abuse, the camps will break the isolation and assist in regaining trust and self-worth. Many of the campers are either in foster care or guardianship of the state. Campers have currently signed up from Washoe, Lyon, Carson, Storey, Douglas, Churchill, and Humbolt counties in Nevada; and Lassen and Plumas counties in California. |
